A Word from the President – January 2022

Dear members and friends,

Happy New Year 2022! I pray that the joy of the Lord and the grace of God be with you every day.

As you are surely getting ready to resume homeschooling, to continue to rise to this wonderful challenge, indeed this call from God, we recognize that homeschooling has become more difficult.

On December 17, I had a conversation with the DEM leaders about the ministerial exams. While these good people are doing everything in their power to pave the way for our children, the fact remains that some, perhaps I should say many, are running into bureaucratic obstacles, rules that, in my opinion, sometimes discriminate against you and your children.

I would urge all families, especially those who find themselves in these situations, to persevere and keep up their courage. I encourage you all to determine the best learning strategies for each of your children. Although they try to move us all in the same direction, choose the one(s) that best suit(s) your situation.

As the saying goes, all roads lead to Rome, and I believe the same is true for children’s education, with many ways, methods, and programs leading to graduation, whether it be at the high school, college, or university level.

Our next Board meeting will be held on February 3rd. I will keep you informed of the outcome. I hope to explore ways to convey the arguably unnecessary difficulties we may face as we approach the implementation of the third year of the regulation and the imposition of ministerial exams.

Until then, be sure to attend your support group, monthly workshop, and prayer night meetings.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Proverbs 22:6 KJV

May you be blessed,

Patrice
